Rocky Mountain Bullhorn
(News, Views, and Culture of Northern Colorado) - November 24,
2005
If you’ve never had the chance to hear Loveland’s Mary
Buirgy sing at Jay’s Bistro or the Crown Pub, you’ve been
missing out on hearing a woman with a beautiful voice performing some
vocal jazz classics. Her CD, released last year, offers twelve tracks
and makes for a great soundtrack during an evening at home, while
prepping and eating dinner and sipping some wine with friends.
Vocalist, Mary Buirgy, will
be releasing her first jazz CD, Beautiful
Love, Saturday, December 11, 2004 at Jay’s Bistro (137 W.
Oak, Ft. Collins, CO) with Mark Sloniker and friends from 8:30-11:30pm.
In addition to Mary’s vocals the CD features Mark Sloniker on
piano, Jason Hollar on bass, Mark Raynes on drums and Andrew Vogt
on sax and clarinet. The CD includes a combination of jazz classics,
swing and a touch of blues. Two of the tunes are originals, one written
by Mary, the other written by her father, Tom Shinas, in 1943.
